Located in a vibrant area overflowing with Greek culture and hospitality, the Greek Pride Hotel and Apartments aims to provide a unique experience for travelers. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or a taste of local cuisine, the hotel serves as your base for exploring the beauty of Greece.

First Impressions: A Reality Check

Unfortunately, some visitors have painted a less than flattering picture of their experience at the hotel. For instance, one guest described their room as "one of the worst" they’ve ever stayed in, noting issues like uncomfortable beds and unaddressed maintenance problems. It’s essential for potential guests to be aware of these concerns right from the start.

The Bed and Breakfast Dilemma

While some guests found the breakfast to be satisfactory, others pointed out inconsistencies and shortcomings. One review indicated breakfast was served outside the hotel in a different location, which contributed to dissatisfaction among those expecting convenience. The mixed reviews highlight the need for improved service in this essential area.

Comfort Matters: The Room Experience

Room comfort proved to be a significant issue for many guests. Comments like "the springs in the mattresses felt like sleeping on nails" and "the size of the bed left our feet hanging" indicate that room quality just didn’t meet expectations. This aspect is crucial for a pleasant stay, particularly after a long day of exploring.

Cleanliness Concerns: A Common Theme

Several guests expressed disappointment with the cleanliness of their accommodations. From unclean towels to hairs stuck in the shower, the lack of appropriate housekeeping standards left many feeling unsatisfied. Cleanliness is a non-negotiable feature that needs addressing at the Greek Pride Hotel.

The Pool: A Small Oasis

On a positive note, some guests have praised the hotel’s pool as a redeeming feature. Despite its small size, guests appreciated its location within the communal area, identifying it as a good spot to unwind. The pool area could be a highlight for families looking for a fun, relaxing environment.

Staff Service: A Silver Lining

Positive remarks focusing on the staff’s friendliness and willingness to help appear frequently in reviews. Many guests noted that although the management had shortcomings, the employees were eager to fulfill any requests, maintaining a smile while doing so. This aspect of service is commendable and worthy of recognition.

Limitations in Facilities

A frequent point of contention among guests was the lack of basic facilities. Reports of limited dining options, especially when the restaurant is closed, have led to a feeling of isolation. Travelers should consider whether access to on-site dining is essential for their holiday expectations.

Noise Nuisance: An Unexpected Disruption

Noise from the hotel’s management decisions, such as taking down umbrellas and sunbeds, has disrupted the peace for some visitors. The lack of a quiet atmosphere has posed a concern, making it important for potential guests to consider their noise tolerance.

Explore the Surroundings

Despite some negative aspects, guests have found the hotel’s location convenient for venturing out. The proximity to local attractions, shops, beaches, and restaurants allows visitors to experience the rich culture of Greece beyond the hotel walls.

Value for Money: A Point of Contention

When compared to the room rates, several guests felt that the value of their experience fell short. Reviews mentioning "feeling robbed" suggested that the perceived quality didn’t align with the prices charged. This discrepancy serves as an important consideration for budget-conscious travelers.

Family Considerations

Families looking for a child-friendly environment might want to proceed with caution. Some reviews explicitly mentioned that the facilities and atmosphere may not cater well to younger guests, indicating a need for families to do their research ahead of booking.

Final Thoughts: A Split Decision

As with any destination, opinions on the Greek Pride Hotel and Apartments vary widely. While some guests have had pleasant experiences with spacious rooms and good breakfast, others have encountered serious issues that may detract from their overall enjoyment.

A Call for Improvement

For future guests hoping to enjoy their stay, it seems critical that the management of the Greek Pride Hotel and Apartments takes heed of the feedback shared by visitors. Investment in facilities, cleanliness protocols, and service enhancements could make a significant difference in guest satisfaction.

  1. One of the worst, if not the worst room I have ever stayed in.
We had booked a double bed. They gave us 2 separate ones which we combined. The springs in the mattresses gave us the feeling of sleeping on nails. Bed’s length is 170cm, so our feet were hanging in the air.
3 nights stay and our towels were not changed.
Cleanliness is average to poor. There were some hairs stuck in the shower pipe since we arrived.
Toilet flush either had no water, or it was overflowing into the toilet basin. We informed them about it but it wasn’t fixed.
There was no shutter or blinder on the window and the curtain was not enough to block the sunlight or provide privacy at night. Our room was facing east, as a result the light was hitting the bed by 7.30am.
When you pay €100 per night, you feel like you’re being robbed.
The breakfast is ok, the staff is kind, it has a large parking lot.

  2. Don’t Don’t Don’t.. so let me tell you about this hotel. Which is more like a prison rather. Good things maybe the pool even though small, nicely located in the communal area. If you have kids then this property is not for you. The breakfast is literally outside the hotel in a different street. Limited seats, limited food and only one person there suitable to be prison warden than waitress. Inefficiency from the check-in throughout. They clean the rooms every 2 days and do the sheets every three. So if you miss them that’s it. Not worth the cheap money but if you need to, then lower your expectations to below free human standards.

  3. I think they made the rooms as small as legally possible. The bed was not comfortable and the light from the exit sign made it really hard to fall asleep. The tiny refrigerator was so noisy that we kept it mostly unplugged. The room and bathroom were not very clean and the towels that were supposed to be fresh smelled like feet. The garden was nice and the staff tried their best to smile and be welcoming. I’m glad we decided to see more of Greece and we only booked for three nights.

  4. The workers at the hotel were excellent, more than ready to fulfill every wish, but the management is desperate. They did not invest money to provide visitors with full enjoyment. I was near the end of the season, the breakfast was disappointing and they promised a buffet. During the break, the workers took down the umbrellas and put away the sunbeds. I had no peace from the noise. The restaurant was not working and I had nowhere to buy food. All in all, a horror as far as the manager is concerned, but at least the employees had a smile on their face. It’s not worth the money invested. Let them hire a marketing director in order to grow, this is how they see the end.

  5. We felt like we were at home in the hotel. Our room was quite spacious, and clean. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, shopping centres, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was good. We were very satisfied.
