Please don’t read too much into any negative reviews here for this place. The host Sofia was amazing. So friendly and very helpful. We were late arriving and I’m sure we kept her up late while waiting for us but she was very happy to see us and welcomed us very warmly. I can say our room was fantastic. It wasn’t the blue colour design that is shown in some of the photos but it’s almost identical with a different colour. We had a fantastic view from the balcony looking over the island and to the sea. The hot tub was beautiful and very hot. We were sad to leave and want to thank Sofia again for her warm welcome and hospitality.

The worst experience of my life. The lady from reservations department is very disrespectful. She did not listen to us on the phone and basically said that if we don’t like the room we can leave with no refund or relocation.
We booked residence with PRIVATE terrace and jaccuzi. They advertise very nice view from balcony with the jaccuzi. But there room has nothing to do with the photos. When we arrived they told us that nobody guaranteed that we will get the room what is shown in the photos. Then what is the point of advertising hotel with those photos?! Old, rusty, dirty room with no windows. Only the entrance door which basically doesn’t provide any air circulation to the room. You will get the room in the photos that I attached and not the ones they advertise in Bookingcom or Expedia. I could write every single detail of our disastrous experience with this place but long story short stay away from this place.
If you’re looking to be away from the crowd but still close enough to the main city, then Ornos Blue may be for you.
Ornos Blue isn’t glamorous, isn’t ‘brand new’ inside but it is clean, in a lovely location with large rooms and outdoor area including an amazing view of Ornos beach and that alone makes up for it’s slightly outdated furnishings. Some rooms include a hot tub which is a nice touch!
The lady at the front desk is very helpful and accommodating and they will clean your room daily if you would like.
If you do decide to stay here, I do recommend a vehicle of some kind as it is located in a hilly area.
We had a wonderful time at Ornos Blue Guesthouse. The view from outside was breath taking and overlooked the city of Mykonos and the Sea. The location is a 5 minute walk from almost all you couldn’t need between places to eat, markets and the beach. Sofia was amazing! She was available to answer any questions, give us recommendations and even called us a cab when we needed to get to the port. The room was very clean, spacious and felt like home. The only negative was the beds were not comfortable and you could feel metal rods throughout them. Otherwise, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and better hospitality. If we find ourselves in Mykonos again, we’ll be calling Sofia and staying at blue ornos guesthouse!
