The Hotel Artemis is located in the center of Vathy which is the main town of Samos. The hotel is run by 2 sisters and their mother and give the whole establishment a family air and provide excellent service and amenities at a very affordable price. They allowed us to stay there after very short notice and were very accommodating. The room was cute, homely and mostly traditional while still providing wi-fi, television, a small refrigerator and a/c. The view from the room was magnificent as it is located at the port of the town and surrounded by many taverns, cafes, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies and fast food places.
A special treat for anyone who stays there is the cafe located right under the hotel which is owned and operated by the same women. They make excellent coffee, sweets and homemade ice cream.
The room was kept very clean and the service was polite, professional and generally very attuned to your every need. They were also very willing to provide local information about beaches and other places to visit on the island which was very helpful since we were able to go to areas which were definitely off the beaten track as well as others which were famous and well-known.
The Artemis Hotel Cafe is one of the undiscovered gems of Samos Town. Owners so friendly, kind, and helpful.
A good omlette and coffee or tea very reasonably priced, clean toilets for guests, and very tempting cakes. What more could a visitor to Samos need?!
Very convenient location right in the middle of downtown, walking distance to everything. Great views from the balcony. Very friendly owners, and quite affordable.
We went in July and the balcony door did not have a screen, the next day we could not open it for obvious reasons. Without light, the room was dark, we stayed one night and the next day we left!!!!!
There is nothing good except the location. The owner, the old lady, is very polite and kind when you first try to take the room, but then she becomes incredibly rude. He wants the money immediately at the entrance. For example, he said, “The toilet in our room is broken, I can’t do anything, you’ll have to leave in the morning anyway.” He gives the air conditioner remote control forcibly. He rushes into the room without knocking. I came out of the shower, I was wearing a towel, and he opened the door with a bang.
