The food was ok. We were told by a local this was the best moussaka on the island. Perhaps it is the best on the island but it wasn’t the best we had in Greece. The gyro was tasteless and the french fries were at the bottom so the fries were soggy. We also ordered a salad but I didn’t get a picture of it. The service was slow and awful. We watched other tables, who ordered after us, receive their drinks before us. Our drinks were only bottled water, bottled lemonade, and a lemonade with ginger. I didn’t see our waiter so I flagged down another waiter and still we didn’t get our drinks. When we finally saw our waiter, he had to flag down another waiter to help. No one checked on us during our meal for more water or anything. Then when they brought out the ticket, they charged us for bread that we never received (although we watched other tables get bread).
This a classic tourist restaurant with decent food and cold drinks. We had decent service and a good meal on a busy day. Wasn’t the highlight but honestly can’t complain.
I ordered a Risotto with typical fish from the island. This dish was very delicious. The menú had a lot of options.
The waiter was very attentive and gentle. He tried to talk to us in Spanish.
This restaurant had a nice view of a popular street. It was very nice at night.
We drank a bottle of wine and we didn’t order dessert because we ate a lot.
I really recommend this experience. It isn’t very expensive, it’s ideal for a date.
Wow the food was incredible! We had the fried tomatoes which were incredible and grown on the island! It came with a wonderful tzaikai sauce! The moussaka was so moist and fresh! Absolutely perfect! My husband had the grilled octopus and he really enjoyed it as well! The wine was out of this world! They weren’t kidding when our tour guide said they win wine competitions across the world.
If possible I would rate this place as 0 stars. We tried the chicken gyro portion and mushroom risotto. Both the dishes were horribly bad. The chicken was completely dry, the worst gyro we have had in Greece. The risotto was probably the worst I have ever had in my life. For the first time i saw a soupy risotto.
To top it all the service and staff are equally pathetic. The guy at the entrance is like a salesman trying to push you into the restaurant.
They have this concept of serving bread on their own. You may assume it’s on the house, but no they charged us 4.5 euros for it. The bread was equally pathetic and we ended up throwing the entire plate.
When we have the feedback, the staff seemed completely unapologetic and rather in a rude way mentioned this is greek food and this is how it is made. Not sure since when Greeks started taking credit for risotto.
One of the worst experiences in Greece and unfortunately first experience in Santorini turned out to be so bad.
My recommendation is to completely avoid the place.
