  1. The hotel overall was very good. The rooms are adequate. Bathrooms small but enough for 2 people. Beds comfy but the pillows are absolutely rubbish. All staff are amazing. Cleaners great. The jacuzzi was a hit for me. My only negative is there is not enough sun beds as we have people getting up early doors to put towels on and half of them are not there for most of the day. The double 4 poster sun beds need shade on the top as there is no shade at all around the pool making it unbearable at times. Last holiday we had curtains over the top that you could open and close to give shade when necessary. Close to being perfect. We would definitely come again. Wish we had private pool room. We tried to upgrade but was told they had none available we walked round every day and night and only ever seen 2 of those rooms being used inc pools

  2. Was an amazing stay in the hotel . We jad booked a private pool room which was amazing and cleaned regularly and was spotless although freezing which can’t be helped as its only heated by the sun. The staff were amazing and I think was the hotel manager served us on the first night for food. I didn’t pay attention to the time as was hungry and was a bit too early for food but he accommodated us and served us early. All the reception staff were amazing and the cats around the hotel are so cute too.

  3. Great hotel with excellent staff! We want to express our immense gratitude to the bar and buffet staff, especially Kralis, for providing outstanding service. The team is extremely hardworking and friendly. The receptionist was very lovely and gave us numerous suggestions for places to visit during our stay. This was one of the best holidays we’ve had, and it wouldn’t have been the same without the hotel’s exceptional hospitality.

  4. We had eagerly anticipated a luxurious and relaxing getaway to Faliraki, Rhodes, having invested in a Premium Double Private Pool room, the highest-tier accommodation available. Regrettably, our experience was far from satisfactory, and we felt that the premium price we paid was not commensurate with the quality of service we received.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we encountered a series of distressing incidents that significantly tarnished our holiday. Despite booking Premium rooms, we were met with rude and discriminatory treatment from the hotel manager, who refused to serve us in the restaurant, claiming that we could not sit in the restaurant with items we had purchased from the town, and made us feel unwelcome. This behaviour was not only distressing but also deeply disrespectful, especially considering the premium status of our accommodations. One morning, my partner did not feel well enough to come upstairs for breakfast and I went to the buffet and asked if I could bring breakfast to my partner and also explained his circumstances. However, they refused and made no effort to accommodate him in any way. The only suggestion they came up with was that I could take food from the buffet to my partner on a small napkin, which I refused that was not only derogatory, but also inappropriate for guests who have chosen to invest in their hotel. We also noticed that when asking for a cup of cups of ice anonymously, we were provided with full cups of ice, as requested. However, when we went to the bar and asked for the same order in person we were given 1, or 2 if we were lucky, ice cubes in our cup. I believe this was a direct display of passive aggression, as 1-2 cubes of ice would not suffice while experiencing the temperature at the time of 25°C and above.

Furthermore, throughout our stay, we were dismayed by the lack of essential information provided by both the hotel. We were blindsided by the “hot tub” as listed on various booking websites, being freezing cold, the limited availability of room service, information purposely omitted by both Aloe Hotel, and the frequent disruptions to the water supply. These oversights left us feeling frustrated and disheartened, as they directly impacted our ability to enjoy the premium amenities we had paid for. Room service is during the hours of the day when you are most likely to be out in the town.

Additionally, the hotel’s maintenance issues were alarming and unacceptable. The pool, a feature we had looked forward to enjoying, became muddy and murky following a water supply disruption, rendering it unusable. Moreover, our Premium room was infested with ants, which detracted from our comfort and overall enjoyment of the accommodation. Ants filled our sink 24/7 and was not pleasant.

Breakfast is cold and stale. The “bacon” seemed more like wanted ham slices. There were flies around the breakfast buffet which I had seen mentioned in reviews from years ago, meaning they have yet to fix this issue. The breakfast cakes offered were also tough and most likely stale.

After contacting our holiday supplier, we were only refunded £100 out of £960 spent and we will not be returning to Aloe Hotel if we happen to visit Greece again.

  5. Positives:
My experience at Aloe was lovely. I visited mid May 2024 with my partner. The hotel was clean and fresh as I believe it’s only 2 years old. We upgraded to a room with a private pool and garden which was lovely. The private pool is small and not really for swimming. It also wasn’t the same pool my partner saw on the picture when he booked it. Seems there were bigger ones available. We spoke to reception and they said its down to availability. The room was decent size and clean. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to the Faliraki strip which have lots of shops and restaurants, also the beach is nearby with plenty beach bars etc.
Negatives: The food was terrible and we opted for breakfast to be included but we ate there twice and just had breakfast elsewhere. I heard other customers complain about the food too. Very basic and bland not what I expected for Greek food. There were flies all around and food that was meant to be hot and fresh was actually cold and dry. Wouldn’t recommend the food here unfortunately.
I was told by another customer the dinner menu is limited and also the same every night.

    Excursion:
We booked a private yacht through the hotel between 4 of us and was about 125 euros each. Apparently we were the first to book a yacht through the hotel. We managed to bring on our own drinks and snacks. When we got the there the yatch was not the same as the picture that the receptionist showed us. It kinda looked like a fishmans boat with netting all around. It was a friends birthday so wanted it to be special occasion. We said we were not happy so they made some calls and managed to get us a much better yacht, we were waiting awhile whilst it got sorted and some of my friends wanted to cancel. But we waited and it was worth it in the end! Had an amazing time. The captain and staff were amazing and gave us a fruit platter, snacks and plenty ice for our drinks even wifi!

Overall lovely stay and staff were helpful and very friendly. I would stay again and not include breakfast.
