The best place to stay in Serifos. Comfortable and very clean rooms in a quiet area (although close to the yacht club). Martha is the most friendly hostess you could ever meet. Highly recommended!
Sometimes you have to look past the hospitality of the owner/manager/worker and assess the money that you are paying in regards to what you are sleeping in.
Rooms are tiny with barely any space to keep your luggage.
Air conditioning was not working properly and one night we were woken up by water dripping through the unit.
You have the option to keep the windows/blinds open,however the whole block of apartments is very noisy mostly by the owner’s phone calls
Shower has a weird contraption considered a shower curtain which certainly doesn’t do it’s job,resulting to a shower full of water.
Combined with a shower drain which is clogged,you can imagine the hygiene issues.
Finishing everything up, you are not allowed to pay by card ( of course ). Only cash with no receipt issued so god forbid you might actually need it.
Reviews should definitely need to be lower and I am afraid that the charm of Mrs. Martha keeps people from being as strict as they should be.
Bear in mind that the prices have gone way up in the past couple of years ,these rooms are not 40-50 euros per night anymore , and you could easily pay 10-20 euros/night more and sleep somewhere you can have the air conditioning on.
Value for money place.
You do not get fancy rooms, but if you want a place just for sleep and rest, this is your place.
The hostess, Mrs Martha, is an excellent person. Very friendly and helpful. You will love her.
Rooms are clean, and they clean them on daily basis.
Bear in mind that the area is full of mosquitoes, this is the only drawback of the location. Other than that, only 5 min walk from the restaurants, bus stops etc..
Clean rooms, but decoration and amenities were as if you were in the 80’s. Also there was electricity shock when you touched the shower!!! Pretty spooky.
