I enjoyed the day spent in this historical old town of Corfu, full of history and it’s rich heritage…love the architecture of the buildings, it’s narrow streets which adds to the charm and the people’s welcoming nature.
They were lots of cafe’s, restaurants and shops, there’s an old fort which was beautiful from the town’s view, but I didn’t visit…however there’s lots to see in this quaint town…churches, museums etc.
My rainy morning walking tour was a pleasant and easy walk…but be careful of the slippery cobblestones when wet, the souvenir shops carry a variety of keepsakes at good prices…and bakeries with delicious pastries.
It’s the one town in Greece, I could see myself returning too as it felt peaceful and quiet on my visit and not just the old town, but the whole of Corfu was beautiful.
Lots to do and lots to see. Many shops, although very touristic with mostly the same stuff. Every corner has a cafe or a restaurant to have a drink or a meal.
Small streets, high buildings and some nice open areas to wander around in. Very car shy so perfect for walking.
Plenty of museums and churches to visit. Try the old fort, archeology museum or one of the open parks to have a rest.

Beautiful old town. I enjoyed walking around. It would be much better if I could stay there for a few nights.A lot of restaurants and shops. Many beautiful historical structures.
The Corfu Old Town is a maze of shops, cafes, restaurants and ruins scattered throughout the town.
My partner and I are staying in an Airbnb outside the Old Town of Corfu, but can easily take the 2a bus into Town for only 2 euro and of course the the 2a bus from the Old Town to a stop very close to where we are staying. So convenient, even though the walk into town is pleasant.
The town is most definitely worth a visit. There are many gardens to wander through and the old streets of Corfu are just beautiful, filled with history and such beautiful architecture.
Personally, I found Corfu very interesting and mystical—a mix of Greek and Roman, which gives it that different touch. One thing I did notice was the warmth and kindness of the people, how polite and courteous they were with us as tourists, and that, for me, makes it unique compared to the other ports in Greece. I would like to visit it again because of my good experience.
