A beautiful Greek church in the woods. Take the well marked trails through the ancient olive groves. The whole walk from the main road is really nice and the church was open and very interesting to visit.

A beautiful byzantine church in a thousand years old olive grove! The church itself is like a jewel! In great condition dispite it’s age. Inside you can still find paintings of St George (parts of them)! It is located 6 minutes (via pathway) from Chalki village in a peaceful and quiet place. Great excursion for the family but you’d better check the days that the church is open for the public, because you will not have the opportunity to see the marvellous frescoes inside (normally July and August).
Loved the walk to the church. The church is of course beautiful and worth the short stroll.
