Beach – stunning, the view is fantastic and the sea is amazing especially the color of the water.
But i would definitely not recommend this beach to come with a family, especially with kids, you have no network access down there and also no internet and network in the bar nearby, the road is disaster and paid parking is a must for the safety of your car – 10 euros for the day.
I visited in early September 2024. Beautiful, quiet beach with an amazing back drop with big hills, trees and rocks. This beach is connected to Kavalikefda beach (first beach from the parking lots), so most people stop there which makes this beach quiet. We aplit our time between the two beaches.
I am an experienced driver and I found the drive to the beach hard work, with lots of twists and turns, hairpin turns and narrow parts. When I visited in September there was the added obstacle of deep potholes in the road. I would advise to drive slowly and very carefully. However the beach at the end is well worth it!
Perfect beach, turquoise water, plenty of space for your own umbrella. You have parking space 10€. The last 1km is a bit zigzag tricky and narrow. Additionally you have some badass drivers that park next to the road to save for parking and make the path oneway.
Don’t recommend it for low experienced drivers.
Don’t recommend it for family with kids, you have low phone network and you might get stacked if you are in a hurry.
The beaches Megali Petra and Kavalikefta r actually one beach with their opposite ends having different names and one end being more popular for nudists. Still, after Mylos, for me personally, it left the best impression. Rocks like thrown from above, the beautiful color of the sea, not urban and crowded, also easily and directly approachable, which is important for people coming by car. There is a self service place with pretty enough food and drinks to survive the day. Just be careful cos the waves can be rough and slam u over some rock, so avoid being close to them when the waves start.
Very beautiful beach, lota os space. Water is cristal clear. Sunset is very nice on the beach. Paid parking at the bottom of the beach 5euros per car. Road is a bit difficult to travel, specificly at the final 500m. Single beach bar where you can get drinks and food.
