Great place to eat and the atmosphere is amazing. The decor of the restaurant was very good and in keeping with Greek aesthetic. Service was second to none and very attentive. Would highly recommended the pork steak and mussels but I would avoid ordering any lamb products. It is no detriment to the place at all but the lamb meat is very little and is more skin and bone. We did comment to the staff who was very gracious to take our feedback and was provided with a free desert and drink. Apart from this, the food was cooked to a very high standard and will be coming back again when visiting Chania.
So tasty and worth the wait! I was told by a friend who lives in Chania that this was the only place on the port that locals go and I’m not surprised, everything was tasty. They even had live music going, a treat if you want a nicer dinner while you’re in town.
Food, atmosphere, and service were spot on. This is a steak house with superb cuts of meats but a wide range to fit your budget if you want steak. They also just have a really unique menu with some unique dishes if you are tired of all the same Greek food. They comped us some raki and baklava which was nice. View is excellent.
This restaurant is a gem on the island of Crete. Eating here was one of the highlights of our trip and was the best food we had in Greece. The Cretan Salad and Goat were so exceptional we came back two nights later and ate the same thing.
Advantages: splendid food, great service, a variety in traditional food, good quality food, a good amount of food, frontline harbour view, good interior design.
Disadvantages: a bit expensive (usual for a touristic area, has more than a generous amount of salt.
MUST try these traditional foods at least once in your life which are : Cretan salad, Escargot*, Antikristo, Their sausage, Spice cheese sauce.
The escargot is the best i have ever tasted with garlic salt and olive oil. They are to die for!!
