The 1 star is only for the drinks and the shisha. Even if the shisha was bad at the first time. Service is very bad and unfriendly. The staff at the entrance thinks they are something special and arrogant. There are much better places in Chania.
Sadly this bar fails to be worthy of there outrageous prices thanks to a very rude bartender who apparently doesn’t know how to treat female clients. We arrived early for the music and were told all of the tables were reserved. So we ordered white wine at the bar. We asked a server if we could use one of the chairs from a table until the people using the table arrived. He kindly moved one to the bar for my friend. The bartender threw a fit and the server came back and apologized moving it back to the table. Five minutes later, a man moves a chair up to the bar, orders a bottle of vodka and the bartender says nothing about the chair being at the bar to him. I asked for the bill and see that wine is 6€ each. Wow. 6€ for wine, chair and peanuts not included. On top of that they wouldn’t accept my credit card. Maybe if I spoke Greek and ordered a bottle of liquor, we would have been treated better. On a happy note, the music was really great.
Fun in the summer, not in the winter. However, the quality of the food and drinks here is pretty good and tasty. Prices could be better on some drinks. service is excellent with a hardworking staff. Highly recommended if you would like to to drink and have something to take a bite off along with your alcohol. The mosquitoes will certainly be a problem though, since you are outside under trees and plants.
Showed up to a half/ third full place. They gave my wife and I a look up and down. ‘Do you have a reservation?’ No I didn’t nor would I need it given the volume of people. ‘Sorry you need a reservation, come back next time’. The women and bouncer on the door were very unfriendly and judgmental looking which is crazy given the sheer volume of places in Crete which are very inviting and easy to walk in. No, I won’t make a reservation thanks. Good luck with the business and attitudes
