Very good choice for dinner! The only disappointment is the mustard in almost every grill dish! They make us very happy when they bring the desserts! Not what you expect from a traditional tavern but make the kids happy!
We love the food and always make a point of dining here at least once with every visit to the Island. However, this time we were left with a sour taste with the service. We were asked if we wanted to pay by cash or card, when we said card we were told we must pay upfront, immediately after ordering which has never happened in all my years travelling in Greece. I felt like we were not welcome there as foreign travellers because none of the locals were asked to pay before their meal was even delivered.
Dined there on my birthday. Huge variety of dishes on the catalogue offered. Ordered plenty of appetizers, traditional Greek salad, roasted calamari, octopus and BarbaGianni ouzo. Fair prices, ultra delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!
We went to the restaurant on the first day of the year and it was packed with people all without masks which is strange when restrictions for pandemic is tightening. They were kind enough to give us a table without reservation but later when a family of 4 came, they asked if we could move. It was asked kindly but under the pretext that this part of the restaurant is for unvaccinated! We showed vaccination certificate upon arrival and the move was bizarre. The food was tasty but it took ages to arrive.
Stuffed onions were fantastic.
High quality, very well cooked lamb chops are 22EUR per kilos.
Despite the crowd, we got a good service. Thank you to all hardworking service staff.
They treat us with a nice desert after we pay the bill, it was very kind.
