Stumbled upon this place when looking for something to eat after visiting the area and it was hands down the most amazing experience we’ve had in all our travels to Greece.
Set on the side of the road, the first sign of it being epic was that it was full of locals. The owner Adonis (from what we overheard) is as friendly as they get, which is some praise considering the amazing hospitality shown by all Greeks!
He took the time to explain how there is no menu here as he serves up whatever it is they have cooking for the day – and they came with plate after plate of food and only stop after you tell them to!
He was even kind enough to show us around his kitchen where all the epic food gets made.
Well worth going out of your way to make a visit to this place – sadly these places won’t be around forever so grab an authentic piece of local food and hospitality while you can.

It was a great experience. We arrived, sat down, and someone approached us to ask what we’d like to drink. We said table wine, fresh orange juice, and asked if there were any dishes without animal products. The response we got was, “How many people are vegans?” A moment later, we received our drinks, and then the dishes started arriving, one after another. Everything was delicious and prepared in the Greek way, with service like I often encountered in Crete, but which I missed on Rhodes. It was a very windy day, so we were offered jackets, allowing us not to worry about the weather conditions.
Soon, the whole table was filled with dishes that tasted amazing to both the vegans and those without dietary restrictions, and we were all quite full. When we finished our first bottle of wine, practically a minute later, another full bottle appeared on the table. As we were finishing the dishes, the gentleman serving us came over, took a look at what was running low, and was already ready to fetch more, but luckily, we managed to stop him. Although everything was delicious, our group of five was already very full.
When we asked for the bill, we were given a delicious watermelon and a stronger local drink. The total came to 80 EUR, and when we asked about it, we were assured that anything else we ordered would be included, but unfortunately, we had no more room in our stomachs. For me, it was the best experience on the island, and I visited most of the officially recommended attractions. It’s a shame we couldn’t visit again. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I felt like part of the family, as if they were hosting me for the first time after a long time apart. It’s definitely worth a special visit—highly recommended.

Incredible & authentic Greek cuisine.
We were roughly in the area and we really really wanted to experience some local authentic cuisine, so we aimed for the local village and just had a bit of a stroll & ended up stumbling across this place. There was 1 (assume local) old man sat there eating & chatting with the owner.
The owner ushered us to take a seat and simply asked if we had any allergies / dislikes (no menu), we confirmed we didnt and he said he would sort us out some food. It was him & his son in the kitchen cooking it all from scratch. 1st brought us out some bread & a big bowl of salad, then a plate of dolmandes (delicious) followed by some freshly cut whole potato chips and 2 whole fish!
The whole thing was only 15 euros each (with some bottled water included too), so we tipped generously being mindful business must have been slow for the last 17 months or so.
Everything was amazing and the owner is so so nice. We cannot recommend this little gem enough for anybody after an authentic greek dining experience off the beaten track.
