Excellent as always. Great tastes, amazing service, a fully recommended place for enjoying your lunch or dinner. Try visiting it during the late hours (8+pm), the lights and the stones create an amazing scenery and the bees & yellow-jackets will allow you enjoy more peacefully your dinner.
A nice beautiful place that has all the romantic atmosfeer you could be looking for. Looking at restaurants at Crete they offer something different. Still in line with the creation cuisine but with a twist that will surprise you. Fresh food and amazing service.
We loved the head waitress, she was informing us so passionate about the food.
For me I loved that she is an animal lover, and cares for the animales coming to the restaurant that are hungry or in need of medical attention.
A very warm place where you will be welcomed and if you do not eat the dessert you will leave with a doggy bag(eco-friendly of course) 🙂
Ps: the feta with sesame is like no other we have tasted in Crete.
Visited Aloni during a day-trip to the enchanting village of Agios Deka. Can’t say enough about the great experience. Food taste and presentation were great. Setting was relaxing and welcoming. Service was prompt, and courteous. Took pictures of the first two dishes that arrived, and then forgot to take anymore out of enjoying everything we ordered. Honestly, there’s no way to go wrong here. As shown in the posted pictures, we started with the eggplant and Alonis Salad dish, perfectly paired with the Titakis wine the server suggested. YUM!!! Not pictured (because I was lost in the epicurean feast experience) are the fried zucchini, stuffed veggies, steak, and an unforgettable desert of cheese pies. Did I say YUM!!!
Stumbled across this fantastic place while looking at the local sites and not being tempted by any of tavernas on the main street. Tucked away by the old church.
Fantastic home cooked food. Best vine leaves and zucchini balls that we have come across and the mains were excellent. Would highly recommend that to anyone who is in the area or up for a short drive
