  1. The pies are very good, but the owner was very rude.

Our first day in Kamares we got a spinach pie, which we loved. The next day we came back for the same pie, but we were asked for a higher price (€3 instead of €2.50). We asked why the price changed and they said it was a different pie. We insisted it was the same pie (we honestly think it was), and they finally agreed on €2.50. When I was about to pay, the owner must have changed her mind and said they don’t take cards (which they do). I didn’t have cash on me, so I wished her a good day and left the store. Upon leaving, my wife told me she had cash, so I came back to pay in cash. After paying the €2.50 with a €5 bill and getting €2.50 in change, the owner must have changed her mind again and literally took €0.50 out of my hand to make the price €3 again. Perplexed by this rude gesture, I reminded her we had agreed on €2.50. She said it was now €3. I disagreed, so she took all the change out of my hands, gave me back the €5 and put the pie back in the showcase.

Again, the pies are very good. Also, the store is free to choose whatever prices they want and €0.50 is not a big deal. I can even give them the benefit of the doubt that it might have been a different pie (although I don’t think it was). In any case, being this rude to costumers is totally unacceptable, so I have to rate them with 1 star.

  2. A beautiful small bakery with a perfect view of the beach of Kamares. Me and my friends bought 5 different savoury and sweet baked goods and they were all delightful. The lady working the store was lovely and we overall had a great time. Totally recommend if you’re passing through Kamares.
